The Problem
Climate change is abstract. People read statistics but don't feel the impact. A semester-long challenge: can you make someone feel what the data says — not through charts, but by standing inside it?
The Solution
Built a walkable VR world where users physically move through climate scenarios — coastal erosion, rising sea levels, environmental transformation. Complete 3D environments modeled from scratch: terrain, architecture, vegetation, water systems. Spatial narration guides the user through before/after transitions. Sound design with AI-generated voice narration and a full DAW pipeline. Self-taught Unreal Engine VR development from zero within one semester.

Technical Highlights
- Self-taught Unreal Engine VR development from zero to a complete, explorable 3D world in one semester
- Professional-grade 3D worldbuilding: terrain modeling, architectural details, vegetation, coastal landscapes, and industrial structures
- Spatial narration through environment transitions — the user walks from present into future climate scenarios
- Full sound design pipeline with DAW and early AI-generated voice narration (2023, before the AI tooling wave)
- VR interaction design: teleportation, interactive data triggers, environmental storytelling
- Thesis grade 1.0 + Colloquium grade 1.0 — highest possible marks
